The Communication Program Fall Colloquium Series begins this Thursday, September 13th from 2-3:30 pm in Swanson Hall room 10-12 with Dr. Slavka Antonova. Dr. Antonova is a Communication Program associate professor and will speak on Establishing human rights as the conceptual framework of the global Internet governance debate. The U.S. philosopher Alan Gewirth’s concept of “community of rights” will be explored in the context of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) debates. The argument is that the IGF debates demonstrate how a global community of rights is taking shape.
